What is the CAS number of antimony trioxide?
Antimony trioxide (Sb2O3) is CAS 1309-64-4. It is the key antimony flame-retardant synergist.
Why is antimony trioxide always used together with bromine flame retardants?
At high temperature, Sb2O3 reacts with hydrogen bromide released by brominated flame retardants to form antimony trihalide (SbBr3), a dense gas-phase radical scavenger. This gas-phase synergy is what makes the system reach UL 94 V-0.
What is the difference between 99.5% and 99.8% antimony trioxide?
The 99.8% grade has tighter impurity control (lower Fe, As, Pb) and typically finer whiteness — preferred for catalyst use and light-sensitive polymers. General flame retardancy usually runs on 99.5%.
What particle size (D50) do you offer?
Our ultra-fine grade is D50 ≤ 1.0 μm, with standard grade around 1.5–2.5 μm. Smaller D50 gives better dispersion in plastics at the cost of higher price per tonne.
Do you provide COA, MSDS and export documents?
Yes — Certificate of Analysis per batch, English MSDS, and full export paperwork including China dual-use export license application support for qualified buyers.
What are your packaging and MOQ?
25 kg PP bags with palletization, or 1 t jumbo bags. MOQ is typically 1 t for trioxide; mixed-product containers are available. Confirm details with our sales team.
